WHAT IS 21-FREE?

21-Free means that our nail lacquer ingredients never include:

Animal Derivatives, Toluene, Benzene, Xylene, Formaldehyde Releaser, Formaldehyde Resin, Phthalates, Cyclic Silicones, Camphor, Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), Glycol Ethers of Series E, Hydroquinone (HQ), 4-Methoxyphenol (MEHQ), Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP), Nonylphenol Ethoxylates, Tert-Butyl Hydroperoxide, Chromium Oxide Greens, Bismuth Oxychloride, Carcinogenic Mutagenic, Reprotoxic (CMR) Substances Synthetic Fragrances, & Ethyl Tosylamide. All of the ingredients listed above are not found in C x P products, but are more commonly found in more traditional nail polish products. Many of these toxic ingredients can absorb into the body and can be linked to toxicity issues like: reproductive issues, hormone disruption, headaches…Basically, too many issues you don’t want and don’t want to sign up for!

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN?

Yes, all of CANDY x PAINTS products are VEGAN. None of our products are derived from animals.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CRUELTY-FREE?

Yes, all of CANDY x PAINTS products are CRUELTY-FREE. We do not use any ingredients that have been tested on animals and we do not conduct animal-testing.

WHY DO YOU HAVE 2 CERTIFICATIONS?

Here at CANDY x PAINTS, we hold ourselves to a high standard. We choose to be both, PeTA and Leaping Bunny certified. Both are prestigious organizations and after doing a bit more research, having both certifications accredited our Vegan and Cruelty-Free standards.
